SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS SPEAK OUT ABOUT SAFETY, HUMAN RIGHTS CONCERNS

(Bagdad, Fla.) – On Thursday, Apr. 18, at 5:45 p.m., school bus drivers from Milton, Pace and Navarre will hold a press conference to speak out about serious concerns over school bus safety, service and working conditions at Durham School Services.
Immediately following the press conference, the drivers will testify at a forum about workplace safety and service issues that may impact the safe transportation of area schoolchildren.
The drivers will be joined by international guests from Europe and the U.S., including prominent trade unionists, civil rights, political and faith leaders, who will participate in the forum. Guests will include Dr. Arthur M. Rocker Sr., Chair of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference’s Florida chapter and a prominent civil rights leader. Local community leaders and members will also be in attendance.
Durham is the second-largest school bus company in the United States. Durham is a subsidiary of National Express Group PLC, a United Kingdom-based multinational transportation company.
